Today we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 crypto pundits we think are worth a follow. As with all social engagements, a varied ‘portfolio’ of voices often results in balanced personal opinions and understandings. Here are our pundits, in no particular order.
We haven’t featured Preston before. A qualified attorney, self-proclaimed libertarian, blockchain nerd and marmot aficionado; this lawyer and prolific blogger has a keen sense for ousting the ridiculous, hyped and downright sketchy crypto projects that proliferate the space. Infamous for his calculated rebuttal of Ripple’s ridiculous distancing from XRP (it was, according to the company, ‘gifted’), Bryne regularly demonstrates the potent combination of his legal and cryptocurrency knowledge. A pundit to follow.
Film and TV producer Naomi Brockwell has a keen social following, with regular vlog updates ranging from ‘Satoshi Baby” (Santa Baby parody) to Fox Business guest appearances. Brockwell brings a welcome, witty levity to what often can be a heavy and sometimes tedious cryptocurrency social scene. Packing in huge amounts of education, insights, and perspective into her Tweets, Naomi Brockwell contributes unique value as a crypto pundit.
We’ve mentioned Anthony ‘Pomp’ Pompliano a few times here at Newconomy, and for good reason. This is one person on a mission to change the world for the (digital) better. Skills honed at Facebook and Snapchat as a growth hacker have been applied with laser-precision to his podcast ‘Off the Chain’ as well as regular market information and opinions. A vocal Bitcoin maximalist, spats with ‘no-coiner’ and professor Nouriel Roubini and regular tv appearances have brought Pomp right into the mainstream spotlight.
A prolific tweeter, cryptocurrency lecturer and all-around powerhouse Meltem Demirors currently builds products for CoinShares; a Digital Asset Management company, helping cryptocurrency firms manage their digital holdings. Touring the world to engage conferences about the potential of cryptocurrencies, as well as a regular pundit on tv, shows that what Meltem doesn’t know about digital assets and blockchain technology isn’t worth knowing. Pithy putdowns and asides to some of her more vocal ‘fans’ are worth the follow alone.
And last but not least Eric Voorhees – CEO of ShapeShift and all-around crypto guru extraordinaire. Eric has been in the industry longer than most and has the experience and battle scars to show for it. His accessible philosophies and analysis of the current state of traditional markets alongside development nascent economies such as crypto are all often contained within 280 Twitter characters. Not afraid to hold his ground and voice an opinion, some fantastically insightful discussions have occurred as a result of his engagements and dialogue online.
