Here at Newconomy, we love a good cryptocurrency success story. They embody the transformative nature of this paradigmatic shift in technology, representing the potential for a better life and global future. Today we’re going to be taking a look at musician and artist Tatiana Moroz; crypto freelancer and creator of Tatiana Coin.
Musician and artist Tatiana Moroz has released several independently produced LPs, EPs, and singles, with albums such as ‘Keep The Faith’ shipping in 2017. Her music is described as ‘a fresh take on the folk style of the revolutionary 60’s and ’70s’, and an ‘original blend of pop, rock, blues, and alt-country.’ She is also a public speaker, civil liberties activist, and Bitcoin advocate.
Following what can be described as a ‘normal’ beginning to a career in the arts, Tatiana came across the concepts and ideas of decentralized digital currencies and Bitcoin. She immediately identified with the peer-to-peer structure and sociopolitical concepts wrapped up in the cryptocurrency and decided to do something about it.
It all came to a head in 2014, and Tatiana teamed up with Adam Levine (host of the Let’s Talk Bitcoin podcast) to discuss her revolutionary concept. As a result, they created the Tatiana Coin, mooted as the ‘world’s first ever artist cryptocurrency’. Built on top of Bitcoin, it allows artists to connect with fans; facilitating direct sales, engagement, and special experiences uniquely enabled by blockchain technology and the peer-to-peer exchange ecosystem.
‘For as long as I can remember, it has been my goal to sing for the soul of humanity. My songs encourage discussion about what the future holds for us, and how cryptocurrency can help the disenfranchised all over the world.’
These coins can be redeemed for backstage access, music, merchandise, held onto for future rewards, and they can even be traded or sold with other music fans. They allow an artist to gather support from their community through long-term fundraising.

As a result of her early adoption of Bitcoin, Moroz has been able to fully fund 3 studio albums, and connect with her fans in a way like never before. She has also cultivated a career as a blockchain and cryptocurrency speaker, attending multiple engagements, including; SXSW, Harvard University, the National Libertarian Party Convention, Freedom Fest, Berklee College of Music and Inside Bitcoins.
‘My focus is on liberating people through entrepreneurship, charity by enabling your fellow man and taking the control of currency away from the war machine. Thanks to cryptocurrency, people in third world countries no longer have to ask permission to support themselves and store their wealth. Anyone will be able to start a business!’
Combining her artistry with the technology and philosophy behind Bitcoin has clearly created fantastic opportunities for Tatiana. Her story embodies what people around the world are slowing realizing – that money and the transfer of value doesn’t have to be restricted or decided by a small group of influence.
By providing the conduit for her fans to interact and contribute to her career, both the audience and artist can cultivate a symbiotic and fruitful artistic relationship. Make sure to check out Newconomy’s other great articles for all your cryptocurrency investment and educational needs.
