The chief scientist at nChain, Craig Wright has hit the news again after claiming he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto. This time, he claims he has the technology that can make Zcash (ZEC) and Monero (XMR) transactions traceable. These are respected privacy coins that do not allow any third party to track the movement of transactions.
Wright presence in the crypto space has always been controversial and is targeting privacy coins. He is also a big fan of Bitcoin SV (BSV), a fork from Bitcoin Cash (BCH). His claims of being the Bitcoin creator are still fresh in the minds of crypto lovers and his latest claims did not come as a surprise.
Why is Craig Wright against Privacy Coins?
The self-proclaimed Satoshi appears to be against coins that go against governments due to the anonymity behind their ecosystems. He insists that for coins to gain traction and mass adoption, they must work with the local government agents.
“ECash was anonymous, far more than Zcash or Monero. so one of the things I’ve been working on that I’m going to be releasing later this year first to people like law enforcement and then others will be how to kill Zcash, how to kill Monero, etc.”
He goes on to say:
“If you have a privacy coin I will show you that it is basically it as private as running through time square with your pants around your ankles.”
Craig Wright “Satoshi” on Zcash and Monero
Two days ago, Wright took to Twitter with a new claim; he is working on a “method” that will make privacy coin transactions traceable and singled out Zcash and Monero. However, he did not elaborate on the “technology” that he is “developing”, he promises that it will help law enforcement agents nab crypto criminals that used privacy coins.
Yes, I can make ZCash and Monero completely traceable…
A means to start monitoring it all and attributing.
And, responsible disclosure is not those teams.
Have a nice life.

A user named @davekcode replied that his claims are: “Fair but untrue. The conditions of disclosure are only relevant to the end user. It’s the fine line of terms and conditions.”
@ProfFaustus went on to say:
“Not my issue, you use an anon coin, a crime coin as this is all they really are, and you are in many countries already committing a crime. So, I would rather teach the Feds how to stop this than help a bunch of losers help criminals.”
Wright on Ethereum Smart Contacts
In a new twist of events, Craig Wright has also taken a swipe on the Ethereum blockchain which he claims is poorly designed. He has also raised the issue with the U.S Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) criticizing the technology behind Ethereum and its governance while at the same time claiming he is the real Bitcoin creator:
“Ethereum is a poorly designed copy of bitcoin designed with the purpose of completing the promise of smart contracts and scripting that was delivered within bitcoin but which were hobbled by the core developers of bitcoin who sought to enable anonymous transactions to exist within the system.”
The entire crypto space is waiting in anticipation for Wright’s technology that will make Zcash (ZEC) and Monero (XMR) transactions traceable. He is known to make ambitious claims that never come to pass.
